KGH is the original and largest UK hypnobirthing course. It is based on hypnotherapy and hypnosis, which means using words and techniques to create a positive view and a calm and relaxed mindset in which to help women and their partners manage unfamiliar situations.
It is the only course which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
“In 1955 Psychological Medicine Group of the BMA (British Medical Association) commissioned a subcommittee, led by Professor T Ferguson Rodger, to deliver a comprehensive report on hypnosis. It included many eminent scientists and concluded, from a systematic review of available research that there is a place for hypnotism in the production of anaesthesia or analgesia for surgical and dental operations, AND can be considered an effective method of relieving pain in childbirth WITHOUT altering the normal course of Labour.”

There are four sessions covered in our full hypnobirthing course, unless you have booked onto a course alongside one of our antenatal midwifery care packages, then you will have three sessions – 1, 2 & 4 as the information from session 3 is covered throughout your care with us).
